The Story and Mission of the Peace and Disability Support Foundation (PDSF)

The Peace and Disability Support Foundation (PDSF) was introduced in the year 2016 when I was chosen and nominated by the Late Hon. Benjamin Poponawa, the two-term Member of Parliament for Tambul-Nebilyer Electorate in Papua New Guinea. He was a strong leader, and he believed in peace, justice, and care for people living with disabilities. He officially chose me to lead peace and disability services under his leadership. That was a big moment in my life, a calling that I took seriously.
Sadly, the death of Late Benjamin Poponawa brought a very dark moment in my journey. His passing felt like the light on my road had been switched off. I felt lost, as he was not just a leader but also a mentor who had faith in me and my mission. His support gave me strength, and when he passed away, many people thought everything would stop there.
But I made a solemn decision not to give up.
Instead, I chose to walk this journey with patience, strength, and trust in God. I knew deep in my heart that this vision was not only inspired by a man but by the Spirit of God. It was a calling, a purpose, and a mission planted in my life by something greater than myself.
Through prayer and spiritual guidance, I was shown many things. God gave me a special number—Angel Number 14—which has guided me throughout this journey. The number 14 in the Bible stands for deliverance and salvation. It gave me a clear sign to continue doing what is right, even if the world turned its back on me.
God spoke to me through dreams and visions. He showed me what needed to be done and directed me on the right path. He told me to bring peace where there is conflict, hope where there is suffering, and love where there is hate. I knew then that this foundation was not just a project—it was a ministry.
As the Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
This verse gave me strength to push forward, no matter how difficult the journey became.
I faced many challenges. People criticized me. Some said I was wasting my time. Others ignored the cause. But I knew my purpose. I knew that true change starts small and grows strong. I knew that with faith and courage, I could turn criticism into fuel, and doubt into determination.

As the Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Why Peace and Disability?

The name “Peace and Disability Support Foundation” has deep meaning. Peace is something our communities need, especially in places where tribal fighting, political tension, and social problems have caused pain and division. Many people in Papua New Guinea are living with the wounds of violence, not just on the body, but in the mind and soul. That is why peace is a foundation for healing.
Disability is not only what you can see with the eyes. Yes, some people are disabled physically, such as those who have lost limbs or have conditions they were born with. But many people also suffer silently from mental, emotional, or psychological disabilities. These are just as serious as physical disabilities but are often not talked about.
People who go through tribal fights, long-term violence, abuse, or natural disasters often end up living with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. These are real disabilities that affect how people live their daily lives. Some of these people have suffered since the early years of Papua New Guinea’s independence in 1975—and yet the government has done very little for them.
As a director and founder, I have seen with my own eyes the struggles of these people. Many of them have been forgotten by society. They live in the shadows, in pain, in silence. I believe it is time for them to be seen, to be heard, and to be helped. They are human beings who deserve better treatment, dignity, and care.

Our Vision and Goals

My goal is simple: to bring peace, healing, and support to those who are suffering—whether they are physically disabled, emotionally broken, or mentally struggling. Whether they are orphans, survivors of tribal wars, victims of domestic violence, or people affected by natural disasters—this foundation is for them.
The Peace and Disability Support Foundation (PDSF) is now registered in Australia, with the aim to serve not just the people of Papua New Guinea but also those across the wider South Pacific region. Our roots are in the Tambul-Nebilyer District, but our branches will reach into other provinces of PNG and beyond.
We want to provide counseling, support services, awareness programs, community education, basic aid, and referrals. We also aim to work with churches, local leaders, schools, hospitals, and international partners to reach more people.
I have done a lot of research and discovered that many Papua New Guineans are suffering in silence. They feel forgotten. Many have no support systems. They live in remote areas where no help comes, and they have no voice in the systems of government.
But I believe we can change that.
We can make a difference.
We can stand with the weak. We can bring light to those living in the dark. We can give food to the hungry, comfort to the brokenhearted, and freedom to those trapped in trauma. We can bring peace, and we can restore dignity.
As the Bible says in Matthew 25:40, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
That is what keeps me going. This is not just a job or a title—it is a life of service.
I believe with all my heart that God’s hand is upon this foundation. Through every challenge, He has made a way. Through every dark season, He has shined a light. And through every prayer, He has answered.
To those who believe in peace, love, and hope—I invite you to stand with us.
To those who have the heart to help the broken, the poor, the forgotten—this is your cause.
To those who have been through pain and suffering—this is your safe place.
Let us work together. Let us build a better future. Let us become the hands and feet of God in a world that desperately needs healing.
Peace and Disability Support Foundation is here to stay.
We are here to listen.
We are here to love.
We are here to lift up the broken and speak for those who have no voice.
Together, we can create a future where peace lives in every heart, and no one with a disability—whether visible or invisible—is ever left behind.
